At the age of 19 Albert Weber started his business in the former hen-house of his father’s farm. The first products were complex turning parts for MTU – former Maybach Motorenbau – and the transmission company ZF. This was the starting point of a development that led the company to the cutting edge of the automotive supply industry.

Albert Weber GmbH is awarded with the Golden Pentastar for the first time by Chrysler. |

Increase of the daily production capacity up to 800 – 1,000 engine blocks. |

Start of construction work for the Albert Weber Technology Center in Markdorf. |

Finalization of the Albert Weber Technology Center. |
2000 |
On December 06, 2000 the inauguration of the crankshaft production is celebrated. Albert Weber is now capable to produce the most complex part of the engine, thus taking further steps into future. |
2002 |
A production output of 1,000 daily crankshafts is achieved. |

January 23rd: The Weber success story continues: 100,000 crankshafts machined to date. 1,000,000 Expected to be machined by 2006. |

The internationalization of the company continues. Weber acquires PSA, Perkins and Ford as customers. |

Start of prototype and small-quantity crankshaft production. |

Ford grants Albert Weber with the quality Q1 award for continuous delivery reliability. |

Albert Weber GmbH is supplier for the main components of the Weber Motor MPE 750. |
2004 |
For the first time in history BMW is outsourcing the manufacturing of a cylinder head to a supplier. Albert Weber GmbH is granted the contract. |
2005 |
Albert Weber GmbH is manufacturing crankshaft and engine block for the Weber Motor V4 engine. |
2005 |
Build-up of the crankshaft production in Charleston, S.C., USA . With this production site Albert Weber is the first independent company to supply machined crankshafts to automobile manufacturers from the USA.
